We've been having the cool weather in NYC that everyone claims never happens in the Fall. It's either too hot or freezing cold, but never crisp fall temperatures. Well lately, it has been exactly that! Walking around the East Village we were able to take in some of the colorful foliage on a sunny Sunday that had perfect Fall weather.
I got this bright red coat from J.Crew last winter and was a little hesitant with how often I would actually be able to wear it. While I thought the color would make it super specific, I find I wear it pretty frequently. It really stands out amongst the sea of black coats in NYC and for that reason I really love it. Paired with my favorite mom jeans, loafer mules and a wear-everywhere black bag, this is a favorite casual weekend look of mine this Fall.
If you read my recent post about bows and ribbons, you know how much I love this look right now. I tried out the style in a super simple way - easy, soft waves and a low loose pony tail. I made this bow out of some fabric I already had and attached it to a pony tail holder - voila, instant bow! You can surely try this DIY at home, but if you are looking for a lazier approach pick up one of the below adorable options.
