Floral Off-Shoulder Top

We got back a few days ago from being in Palm Springs and Las Vegas for a week and it really made me ready for summer weather in New York. Memorial Day weekend is coming just in time!

I have been working on a number of original designs lately and decided our vacation was a great time to wear a few of them. This off the shoulder top was made with a dark ground floral fabric I purchased online a couple months ago. I actually used the fabric to make a mid-length wrap dress I wore recently to one of my best friend's weddings. I had some leftover yardage so figured I would make a top with it as well - and here it is!

I bought these sandals when it was still Winter and am so happy I can finally wear them! I saw them on a few bloggers last year and by the time I went to buy them from Madewell they were all sold out. But not this year - got 'em in black AND tan. What can I say, I like my basics.
