Faded Summer Floral Top
Who says you have to go on vacation to get that careful summer look? We spent the day in Central Park last weekend and I took the opportunity to pull on one of my FAVORITE new Magill tops that I designed a few weeks ago that is easy, breezy and beautiful.
This top started it's clothing life as a large button-down dress, believe it or not. I was attracted to the washed out colors and thicker cotton when I saw this in No Relation Vintage. The silhouette is pretty simple, with elastic across the bodice and self-tie straps. It is a perfect top for hot summer days and can be worn tucked for untucked for different effects. It's so cute right?!
I have to give a shout out to some of my other favorite items in this look - these denim shorts from Urban Outfitters are the perfect way to shift my love of high-waisted denim into the warmer months. They are just distressed enough and give some shape to any voluminous top, like this one, when tucked in. This bag was a Forever 21 purchase a few years ago and I still love it for summer - lightweight and easy to carry, I have been using it all the time lately. I found a couple similar bags here and here. These Madewell sandals were purchased last year and I am so happy I got them. Casual but still with detail, they go with absolutely everything.
