Prairie Print Mini Dress
Prairie prints have been making a slow and steady comeback over the course of the past year. Brands like Christy Dawn and Love Shack Fancy are fully entrenched on the ultra-feminine print, featuring dainty florals all across their collections. “Prairie Prints” as I like to call them, refer to small scale florals (also known as ditsy florals) done in muted pastel colors usually on a cottony fabric. Think Little House on the Prairie calicos.
I love the delicate, bohemian and feminine nature of a small scale floral print and cannot get enough of them in my closet. What’s great is that you can wear these printed pieces this summer while the weather is warm but also transition them easily to fall with the addition of layers such as a leather jacket, sweater or coat. Look for dresses, blouses and even skirts to add some femininity to your wardrobe. A few picks from around the web are below!
I got these slides from Shein over a year ago and they were such a great buy. I don’t believe I paid more than $30 for them and have worn them so many times. With a black velvet and embroidered design they look waaay more expensive than they actually were. With a thick padded sole they are also super comfortable and easy to slip on and off. I’ve worn them year round but they work especially well for the fall and winter. This exact pair is no longer available, but Shein does have some similar options on their site, included below.
