I went through a creative phase a couple of years ago where I was trying out different surface design and printing techniques. One technique in particular I became exceedingly interested in was bleach-dyeing.Read More
This past Saturday we made the drive out to the desert to view the Super Bloom. This winter we have received an abnormal amount of rainfall (exactly what I was hoping for when I moved to Southern California) which has resulted in the deserts blooming with greenery and flowers.Read More

Shoulder straps that feature a tie are one of the signature hallmarks of my design style. Not only do they impart a romantic and feminine attitude to a top or dress they highlight one of the most underrated yet sensual parts of the female body - the shoulder.Read More

If you have been reading my blog for any amount of time you have probably heard me preach about buying clothes that can be worn multiple ways and multiple times. It is so important to me that pieces in my wardrobe can do double or triple duty rather than serve only one type of occasion. The garments I design for Magill are no exception. I want anything I design and sell to earn their keep in my customers’ wardrobes rather than just take up space for those once-in-a-while events. One of my favorite Magill pieces, the Denes Dress, is a dark floral midi dress and perfect for both warm and cold weather. Today’s post is sharing two ways to style this dress both for now and later! Click of each of the products to get details and shop!
Shop Your Closet” is a buzzy phrase that has been getting a bunch of airtime recently. The concept is simple- instead of going out to shop in stores and buy new clothes you look into your closet and do some ‘shopping’…no money required.Read More
Sunglasses for me are something I don’t think too much about, generally I have a couple pairs I love and just keep them on rotation. But I do like to branch and get a new pair every so often. While there are a plethora of designer options out there I don’t always have the extra cash to invest in a pricey pair. Lucky for me (and you) there are plenty of affordable sunglasses that add some new style to your wardrobe without making a dent in your bank account. I’ve pulled together some of my favorite picks on the interwebs right now, all under $30!
Jeans are one of the clothing items that you can get on the cheap and as long as they fit well NO ONE WILL KNOW. That of course is contingent upon the denim actually fitting you well.Read More
To say getting this collection live is a long time coming would be an understatement…
Ever since I was a little girl I have been obsessed with arts and crafts. Drawing, painting, weaving, beading, you name it I was into it. I had every craft kit that Michael’s sold and every marker set Crayola produced. When I was in high school my love for crafts shifted more towards fine arts. I took Art as a major which means I took art class every single day of my four years of high school. It was around this time I also became interested in sewing. I learned some perfunctory sewing skills in Home-Ec class but my mom really taught me how to pick fabrics and follow a sewing pattern. Fast forward to college applications and I selected Fashion Design as my major. With the exception of a slow down during my two years of business school, I have been an avid sewer ever since. I consider myself to be a very productive person and for me there is no greater high than obtaining a finished garment from my sewing that I can hang in my closet and wear. It’s such a thrill and something that keeps me dreaming, designing and of course sewing.
Magill was born out of my desire to create clothing for women beyond myself and provide them with apparel that is feminine, modern and chic. Pieces that were easy to wear, easy to style and easy to love. I want my garments to make women feel beautiful and comfortable in their clothing, whatever they look like and wherever they are. The perfect middle ground of casual, sexy, cool and feminine is where Magill sits.
This Magill collection is only the start of all the tons and tons of ideas I have for pieces I want to design and bring to my customers. I am already working on the next collection to be coming in March and cannot wait to share with you all! Thank you for following along on this journey and your support along the way, it means the world to have such wonderful friends and family supporting me and my crazy dreams. Cheers to Magill!

A good pair of statement earrings can take a ho-hum outfit to effortlessly chic with minimal effort. It’s the epitome of lazy-girl style and I am a big fan of it. For the past couple of years glitzy, gemstone over the top earrings have been all over but lately my favorite earrings include natural details like tortoiseshell and raffia. Pair them with something casual and classic like ripped denim and an oversized sweater for a chic and easy look.
