“No White After Labor Day” is an antiquated maxim as far as I am concerned. I remember the rule being thrown around when I was younger but these days it no longer applies. In fact, white and cream denim are two of my favorite looks for this winter season. Lighter colored bottoms add an element of freshness and levity to what otherwise can be a somber palette in the colder months. When paired with camels and creams the effect is chic and elegant and can easily be dressed up or down.
I have a favorite pair of cropped off-white jeans from H&M that I have been wearing constantly since I got them this past spring. This pair from Abercrombie is a great dupe for my favorite H&M version. I find the shorter length is most flattering on my small stature to show off a bit of ankle. I also just got this pair from Everlane in ‘bone’ which I am excited to wear as well.
As with all my denim these days, I am all about the high-waisted fit for white jeans. I find the higher rise to be more flattering on my frame and looks a bit more modern than a low rise fit. This corduroy Wedgie pair would be a a great option for those in colder climates (no longer me). I love this super high-rise pair from J.Crew (currently on sale). This button-front pair from Madewell would be a great addition if you already have a pair of white or off-white denim that you love.
