We had a surprisingly nice day this past Saturday with 60’s and sun, so I took the chance to wear something colorful and fresh-feeling. I’ve talked a bunch recently about my love of vintage scarves and how I’ve added a few new ones to my collection. This is one of the scarves I recently bought at No Relation Vintage (for a mere $5!). I love the subtle color and print, just enough to add a hint of interest to an outfit without overwhelming the look.
Do you ever get into a style rut where you find yourself reaching for the same pieces or a variation of the same pieces again and again? I’ve recently found myself slipping into iterations of the same look – high-waisted jeans, button-down blouse tucked in front, topped with a lightweight scarf. While I like the ease and wear-ability of this combination, I’m itching to change things up.
I’m definitely starting to sound like a broken record, but the weather has just been so gloomy and cold in New York City. I want to start wearing more springy pieces but up until this point my need for warmth has overridden my fashion yearnings. We still have some forecasted snow this week (insert crying emoji) so I may need to wait a little bit longer to transition into full-on spring. What are you guys wearing to get your spring fix while still remaining warm?
