Wow, having a puppy is a lot of work. I have a new understanding of why my mom said we couldn’t get a dog until we kids were old enough to take care of it. In a new post on Fizz and Fade I’m talking about Bash and how he came about joining the family.

I have been busy working away on a mini collection for Magill that will be going live next month on my shop page. In preparation for that launch I am doing a photoshoot for all the pieces. This means I need picture-perfect samples ready to go in two weeks. Ah! I have been sewing, sewing, sewing trying to get everything ready. While at times it is tedious, stressful and agonizing I love it. When you love something so much you can do it for hours and still love it at the end of the day - that’s what you should be doing. Here is a small peek at one of my favorite dresses (currently for sale in the navy ‘vacation print’ at www.magillclothing.com) but coming in this pink floral next month.

When designing, prints are my jam. But more often in my daily style I opt for neutrals so having some good basics is essential. High waisted black denim is my most worn jean style year-round. I have a few pairs that I rotate through but my favorite is from @urbanoutfitters. Good fit ✔️ affordable ✔️ reliable ✔️. Any other affordable brands you love for denim?

Mixed prints - Love ‘em or hate ‘em? I’m a huge fan, just make sure the colors are complimentary and the size of each balances once another. Plaid + stripes are a great place to test the waters in your own wardrobe.

I still remember posting three years ago when we got Boom and now we have our newest family member- Bash! He is 5 month husky-lab mix and sweet as can be. 🐶 #bashthedog #huskylab #labsky #huskador (yes these are real dog combo names 🙄)

A scarf is one of my favorite ways to add color and texture to an outfit. While recently in Dallas I wore this gorgeous blue scarf from @ateliersimone_indigo for a day around town. Touched down in California just in time for New Years Eve. But a fun time traveling but ready to be home.
