I'm a print-lover, through and through. In the hot summer months my wardrobe and my apparel designs are dominated by colorful florals. Now that we are starting to transition into fall my print proclivity is shifting to more geometric and organic shapes. This September, my mood board is full of interesting shadow play from unique architectural designs. Shadows created naturally from sunlight have a softened geometric look that isn't too sharp or harsh. The stairway image with varying hexagonal sizes reminds me of pleats and cording which could make for a pretty cool dress design. Crisp whites and muted pinks give a nod to the final days of warm summer but also are perfect for cooler days ahead. Soft grays and and metallic accents feel fresh, calming and yet still with an air of excitement for a new season.
