High-rise silhouettes are my pant style of choice these, especially when it comes to jeans. The fit is more flattering on my petite frame, really helping to elongate my legs. But it also feels modern and cool as compared to low or mid rise styles. This khaki pair is one I actually made myself, following the Persephone pattern from Anna Allen. You can read my original post about sewing these pants here. When wearing these pants recently I wanted to steer clear of anything too masculine or utilitarian. A floral blouse instead adds a nice feminine contrast to the khakis, this top in particular is from And Other Stories. This is a great example of one of my favorite styling tips - juxtaposition of texture, print and genre.
